About Us

Claymore Racing is a syndication management company that has been established and is currently being managed by Cameron Sword. Cameron is a dual Cheltenham Festival winner and is also recognised as the youngest winning owner of the Grand National at just 21 years of age.

“The genesis of Claymore Racing is directly linked to Corach Rambler, a remarkable racehorse whose impact has been profound, not just on my life but also on that of countless others. In just 15 races under rules, Corach Rambler has achieved remarkable success, and the sense of pride and privilege that this brings me is immeasurable. It is this sentiment that has propelled me to establish Claymore Racing, with the objective of sharing this experience with others.”

Cameron Sword, the founder of Claymore Racing, was first introduced to horse racing during the COVID lockdown when he watched the Cheltenham Festival and Grand National in 2020. Falling in love with the sport led to months of studying all aspects of the racing industry, resulting in a call with local trainer Lucinda Russell at the end of May asking to visit the stables and get involved. That stable visit led to the purchase of a share in Corach Rambler, a horse acquired for £17,000 from the Goffs UK Point-to-Point Sales held at Yorton Farm in November 2020. Cameron became the seventh and final member of ’The Ramblers’ syndicate, and together, they hoped to see Corach win races at renowned tracks such as Kelso, Perth, or Musselburgh.

On March 15th, 2022, Corach won the Festival Trophy (Ultima Handicap Chase) at the Cheltenham Festival, given a ride by Derek Fox, which saw him honoured with ’Racing Ride of the Season’ at the McCoy Awards. This was an extraordinary accomplishment for the syndicate. However, the 2022–23 season brought even more success. Corach made history by becoming only the fourth horse since 1946 to win back-to-back in the Festival Trophy. He secured his second festival victory and continued to exceed expectations by winning the world’s most famous horse race, the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree on April 15, 2023. Corach’s exceptional performance was characterised by his impressive jumping and staying abilities. Corach won in style, making it look effortless. A true champion, adored by many.

In summary, Cameron’s discovery of horse racing during the pandemic led to his involvement in racehorse ownership through the purchase of a share in Corach Rambler. The horse’s extraordinary success so far, including two festival wins and a Grand National victory, is a testament to the excitement and enjoyment that can be experienced through horse racing.
